New post types for Alumni Profiles and Program options were designed specifically for the new, consolidated Arts website.

Following the launch of Arts CMS, we began the process of updating the central Faculty of Arts websites. The Faculty had two separate websites—one for Faculty and Staff and one for Undergraduate Students, which led to confusion and duplication of information.

Our research demonstrated that the two sites should be consolidated, so we developed an updated information architecture, streamlined content strategy, and established a tailored UX strategy for the new site. The homepage was designed to support core user needs and faculty goals.

The structure of the Arts site different from the standard departmental templates, which required us to design several new modules and post types to accommodate the new content. In the spirit of continual improvement, these new modules became available across other departmental sites using Arts CMS once the Arts site was launched.

The site consolidation was a success, with units like Arts Academic advising reporting a significant decrease in inquiries post-launch. Features like the Arts Alumni profiles database have proven to be valuable tools for recruitment and engagement, with 50,000 total alumni profile views since 2020 and a 36% increase in views year over year.
